Newsletter - May/June, 2008

One of these days I'll be able to get the newsletter out on time. I am always so busy sometimes I bump into myself trying to get everything done on time. Well the response for last months add for new songwriters and music was fantastic. I spent over a week making demos of all the new songs we received. I must say many of the songs are really great. Our artists will be so happy. We at TIMA want to furnish the fans and radio stations with the best music we can provide. TIMA membership is growing and soon the world will be listening to and purchasing your music.

We are increasing the size of our newsletter beginning with this issue. We are adding stories and interviews about the members of TIMA and the music industry. I believe it will help our members and encourage them to increase their vision and take their music to higher levels. The web-site for radio digital download and customer purchasing is almost ready to spring into action. This will make our music available world wide. We have an ally in Branson that will be helping us get our artists booked into some of the theaters and hopefully other areas as well. It's hard to imagine how much we have grown in just four months. We started on January 1st and look at the phenomenal growth TIMA has had already. GOD is truly blessing our efforts. I believe one day soon TIMA will be the largest and most successful music and talent provider in the world. TIMA is providing our artists a chance to function in the music world and have more control of their career than ever before. In the past the record companies had all the control and made all the money. It's time for the artists to have a level playing field. As 1 close this portion of the newsletter let me encourage you to contact me with your thoughts and and ideas on how to make TIMA a better organization. If you haven't joined yet you need to get on board and be part of this ground breaking event in music history. I'm always available to receive your calls and email so don't hesitate to contact me with any and all concerns you may have. Until next month remember the sky is the limit so keep thinking BIG.

God Bless You,
Roland Wright

Notes From The Chaplain
Welcome everyone to "Pastor J's Tidbit"!

I will certainly remember the day that Roland walked into my office and shared with me the possibility that he may be called to this organization. Prior to making his decision to pursue this calling, Roland did what many of us should do prior to acting upon what seems to always be an obvious opportunity. He asked that we PRAY! That's right, PRAY! How does the process work when you are faced with a decision in your life? Do you take it upon yourself to determine what you should do? Or do you seek the counsel of God to assist you in the process? You see, often times what seems like a great opportunity for us in the beginning may not be what God has in store for our future. That being said, we also know based on the authority of God's word that true happiness is found when we are seamlessly integrated into God's will for our lives! What am I trying to share with you? It's all wrapped up in these timeless words of divine implication:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Challenge: Stay focused on God and the plans He has for you! This will have a direct result on your level of Kingdom prosperity from our Father in Heaven! One good way to get your feet wet... pray prior to your decision making process!

Need counsel? Need prayer?

Forney Opry

This month we are featuring the Forney Opry "The Little Building With The Big Show" in Forney, Texas. The first time I met Wayne and Penny Tywater was two years ago when they invited me and my group "2nd Chance" to sing at the Forney Opry. I have grown to love them very much. They are a fine Christian couple and faithful friends. Not only do they own The Forney Opry but also are great fans of the artists that perform there. They treat each performer as if they were their own children.

Wayne was a professional and successful Country singer traveling with his own band for many years. He still sings every Saturday night along with the other performers. While emceeing the show he has an interesting way of sharing stories and comments about some of the songs featured an the show. He also gives little known facts about the great artists in the music business. His favorite singer is "George Jones". He has recorded a tribute album on cd featuring some of George's greatest hits, which I might add is as close to the original as I have ever heard. George was so pleased that he wrote Wayne a thank you note on the inside cover.

Penny is one of the hardest working women in show business. She has devoted her self full time to the Opry. She is constantly working behind the scenes during the show.

Anthony Perry

"Elvis" David Allen

Todd Maxwell

Every Saturday night at 7:40 pm the curtains open to thunderous applause and the show begins. Every artist is pumped and ready to give it all for the fans. The variety of music is very diverse, from Country, to Gospel, to old time Rock & Roll. And then there are the special shows such as plays, Benefits, Comedy, and Christmas specials. Many of the artists got their start right there on that very stage. Every Saturday night after the show they open the stage for auditions for the newcomers. They even sponsor acting workshops for aspiring actors in conjunction with "Montra Studios". This is a great place to go on a Saturday night for family entertainment. It's a relaxed environment with tables and chairs to enjoy burgers and refreshments during the show. Forney Opry is one of the best organized shows I seen in quite a while. I'm so impressed with the talent that I have signed many of the artist's on my own record label. We are currently producing three cd's on them now and putting out a radio compilation to promote to radio stations. It seems that music has returned to its roots and Opry's are springing up all over the country with much success.

I for one am happy to see it again like it was back when the "Big D Jamboree" and "Louisiana Hayride" was going strong.   I have researched the internet and found over one hundred and fifty in Texas alone. I'm also happy to see the young people embracing Country and Gospel music again.

I
t would be worth the trip to attend The Forney Opry on a Saturday night with the whole family!

You will want to come back again and again!
